CET’s technical club, Folium Eco-Drive, powered by Eram Power Electronic Company, will be participating in the prestigious Shell Eco-Marathon event scheduled in Doha, Qatar, from 8th to 12th February 2025. The Shell Eco-Marathon is a global event that challenges students to design, build, and test energy-efficient vehicles. It serves as a platform for young engineers to showcase their skills, foster sustainable mobility solutions, and inspire future advancements in green transportation. The new EV prototype, named Lunaris, has a body panel made from an integration of flax fiber and glass fiber, which helps to reduce the weight, carbon footprint, and improve its performance.
With Lunaris leading the charge, Folium Eco-Drive is not only showcasing innovative development but also setting a bold example of sustainable engineering at the Shell Eco-Marathon. As the sole team representing both CET and the state this year, Folium is ready to make a significant impact, pushing the boundaries of energy efficiency and green transportation. With their forward-thinking design and commitment to a cleaner future, Folium Eco-Drive is poised to drive change and inspire the next generation of eco-conscious engineers.
