Dr. Sheeja K P

B Arch from NIT Thiruchirapalli in 1988 and M.Archfrom School of Architecture and Planning Chennai in 1999. Acquired PhD from University of Kerala in 2015. Joined the Department of Architecture, College of Engineering Trivandrum in 1994 as Lecturer in Architecture and got promoted as Assistant Professor in 2000, joined Government Engineering College, Mananthavady. Promoted as Professor in 2015 and Joined Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Kottayam. Presently working as Professor in CET. Also having 5yearsofIndustrial experience.

Research Interest/Area of Interest

My research was on “TimberTemples of Central Travancore in Kerala”. My areas of interest are Temple Architecture, Traditional Architecture, Timber Architecture and Disaster Management.

Awards/ Recognition

I have received the Certificate of Appreciationconstituted byRotary Club. I have 6 journal papers in hand and have presented papers in National and international conferences.

I have been an external guide to PG thesis(Master of Interior Design)for CEPT University. I wasalso involved in the design of hostel buildingforGovt. College of Engineering Idukki and Academic block in Govt Polytechnic Vandiperiyar under KIFFB project.
