The CET BBC Club of College of Engineering Trivandrum has successfully conducted the fourth edition of its flagship outreach initiative, CHOICE 5.0, as part of its social responsibility activities. The programme was conducted on 14 January 2026 at Government Technical High School, Sreekaryam, and on 16 January 2026 at Government High School, Sreekaryam. The sessions were organised for students of Classes 8 and 9, with the objective of improving English communication skills, public speaking ability, confidence, and career awareness.


An interactive and student-centric approach was adopted throughout the sessions. At Government Technical High School, the programme commenced at 2:00 p.m. with an introductory talk highlighting the importance of communication, followed by sessions on spoken English, engaging activities, interactive games, and career guidance. The programme concluded at 4:00 p.m., with feedback collected from students and faculty. At Government High School, Sreekaryam, the session began at 4:00 p.m. and included discussions on communication skills and a career guidance activity that introduced students to group discussions as an essential problem-solving tool across variouscareer paths. The session concluded successfully at 5:00 p.m.

The programme received positive feedback from both students and teachers, who appreciated the initiative and its impact. CHOICE 5.0 proved to be a meaningful effort in empowering school students while strengthening the bond between CET and the local school community.
