The College of Engineering Trivandrum was awarded the State-Level Best Institute Award in the Young Innovators Program (YIP) 5.0, organized by K-DISC, Government of Kerala. The award was presented by Dr. R. Bindu, Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice, on 1st November 2025. In addition, Dr. Gijoy S., Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, was honored as the Best Facilitator in the State. A total of 447 ideas were submitted by CET students under YIP 5.0. The Young Innovators Program, a flagship initiative of K-DISC in the innovation domain, aims to empower young minds to develop innovative products, services, and models that address emerging challenges, unarticulated needs, and societal or market demands more effectively through structured innovation challenges.
